HOLLYWOOD comes to Venice by Marc WANAMAKER
February 8th at 7:00 pm
The Venice Historical Society (VHS) has scheduled a classic slide show and lecture on movies filmed in Venice, given by well-known author and historian Marc Wanamaker, kicking off VHS's 25th Anniversary celebration for 2011.
 
Marc, who owns Bison Archives, is a world-class expert and consultant in film history who has worked in many facets of film production, exhibition, and research for over 35 years.
 
He will be talking about movies shot at various Venice locations on the canals, the lagoon, the pier & the beaches. Plus, he will be showing rare photographs from Mack Sennett comedies, Touch of Evil, Our Gang movies and many, many more classic films.
 
The lecture & slide show will be held at the S.P.A.R.C. (Old Venice Police Department Building), 685 Venice Boulevard, Venice, California, 90291.  Free for VHS members.
$5 for non-members. Light refreshments.
